Cookie Policy
Last updated: 14 May 2026
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies are used on the Weeve website at https://getweeve.io (the "Site"), and how you can control them.
This policy covers the website only. The Weeve macOS app does not use browser cookies or contain any advertising trackers. For information about data the App processes, see our Privacy Policy.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. Cookies are used to make sites work, remember your preferences, and measure how visitors use a site.
We also use similar technologies — local storage, pixels, and tags — which we group under the word "cookies" in this policy for simplicity.
2. Cookies we use
The Site is built and hosted on Framer. We use Google Tag Manager to load our marketing tags: Google Ads (conversion tracking and remarketing) and the LinkedIn Insight Tag. The cookies fall into three categories:
2.1 Strictly necessary (no consent required)
These cookies are needed for the Site to work. They don't track you across sites and they don't require your consent under EU law.
Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Framer | Hosting, page rendering, security | Session |
Framer load-balancer cookies | Framer / their CDN | Routing your request to the right server | Session |
Cookie consent state | Our Site | Remembers your cookie choices so we don't ask every page load | 12 months |
Google Tag Manager itself does not set persistent cookies; it only loads the tags below.
2.2 Advertising (only after you opt in)
These cookies help us measure whether our ads on Google and LinkedIn drive sign-ups, and let us show ads to people who have already visited the Site (remarketing). They are only set if you accept marketing cookies in our consent banner.
Google Ads (Google LLC):
Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Duration |

| doubleclick.net (third-party) | Measure ad performance, frequency capping, remarketing | 13 months |
| doubleclick.net (third-party) | Checks whether your browser supports cookies | 15 minutes |
| google.com (third-party) | Stores ad and search preferences | 6 months |
LinkedIn Insight Tag (LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company / Microsoft):
Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| linkedin.com (third-party) | Identifies visitors for ad measurement | 90 days |
| linkedin.com (third-party) | LinkedIn browser identifier | 1 year |
| linkedin.com (third-party) | Server load balancing | 24 hours |
| linkedin.com (third-party) | LinkedIn Ads ID syncing | 30 days |
| linkedin.com (third-party) | Tracks when analytics info was synced | 30 days |
| linkedin.com (third-party) | Stores LinkedIn's own consent state for non-essential cookies | 6 months |
We do not use general web analytics (like Google Analytics) and we do not use cookies for any purpose other than the ones listed above.
3. How to control cookies
When you first visit the Site, you'll see a cookie banner where you can:
Accept all cookies
Reject all non-essential cookies
Customize your choices
If you reject marketing cookies, no Google Ads or LinkedIn Insight tags will fire. You can change your choices at any time by clicking "Cookie settings" in the footer of the Site.
You can also:
Block or delete cookies in your browser settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge).
Manage Google ad personalization at https://adssettings.google.com
Opt out of LinkedIn ad personalization at https://www.linkedin.com/psettings/advertising
Send a "Do Not Track" or "Global Privacy Control" signal — we honor GPC for marketing cookies on the Site.
Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the Site from working.
4. International transfers
Google and LinkedIn (Microsoft) may transfer cookie data to the United States. Both rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses for these transfers.

Advertising cookies: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Art. 11.7a Dutch Telecommunications Act).
6. Changes to this policy
If we add, remove, or change cookies, we'll update this policy and the "Last updated" date at the top. If the change is material (e.g., adding a new tracker), we'll prompt for renewed consent through the cookie banner.
