Use one recorder for your microphone, computer sound, or both sides of a meeting. Available sources adapt to the browser you are using.

Compatibility at a glance

Microphone capture works in current major browsers. System and mixed capture require Chrome or Edge and depend on the source offered by the browser sharing picker.

Three capture sources

Microphone works for speech and nearby sound. System audio captures a supported tab or computer source. Both combines microphone and system sound for calls.

The browser controls permissions. This page cannot silently access a microphone or bypass an operating-system privacy setting.

Native recording formats

Chrome and Firefox commonly create WebM with Opus. Safari may create MP4 audio. The original format depends on browser support.

WAV files are much larger. MP3 and WAV conversion take additional time and memory in the browser.

From audio to text

A finished file can continue into the Weeve transcriber. Transcription accepts supported recordings up to 60 minutes and downloads speech models separately.

For ongoing meeting capture and organized notes, download the Weeve Mac app and import the recording there.

Your recording stays here

Your recording never leaves this page. Download it before closing the tab if you need to keep it.
