Microphone
Works in current Chrome, Edge, Safari, and Firefox releases, including mobile browsers.
System audio
Requires Chrome or Edge. Tab audio is the most reliable source. Operating-system support varies.
Both sources
Mixes microphone and supported shared audio for calls. Headphones help prevent echo.
Native format
The browser usually creates WebM with Opus or MP4 audio. Available formats depend on the browser.
Recording limit
The recorder stops after 3 hours. Long files use more browser memory.
Transcription handoff
The related transcriber accepts supported recordings with up to 60 minutes of audio.
