Recorder details
Source support, formats, limits, and the transcription handoff.
- Microphone
- Works in current Chrome, Edge, Safari, and Firefox releases, including mobile browsers.
- System audio
- Requires Chrome or Edge. Tab audio is the most reliable source. Operating-system support varies.
- Both sources
- Mixes microphone and supported shared audio for calls. Headphones help prevent echo.
- Native format
- The browser usually creates WebM with Opus or MP4 audio. Available formats depend on the browser.
- Recording limit
- The recorder stops after 3 hours. Long files use more browser memory.
- Transcription handoff
- The related transcriber accepts supported recordings with up to 60 minutes of audio.
Your recording stays here
Your recording never leaves this page. The app shell loads over the network. Transcription is a separate step that downloads speech models from Weeve’s CDN.
