Both and System audio require Chrome or Edge. Sharing the Google Meet tab with audio works best. Safari and Firefox can record only your microphone.

How to do it

Use the recorder above to capture, review, and save the meeting audio.

    Choose Both in the recorder

    Tell participants, confirm consent, then choose Both to capture your voice and Meet audio.

  2. 02

    Click Start recording

    Allow microphone access when the browser asks.

  3. 03

    Select the Meet tab

    Choose the Google Meet tab and enable Share audio in the picker.

  4. 04

    Record the meeting

    Recording runs once access is granted. Use headphones and keep the recorder and Meet tab active.

    Stop and review

    Click Stop recording. Review the audio, then download it or continue to transcription.

Record Meet with this browser tool

Choose Both to mix your microphone with the Google Meet tab. The browser tool creates an audio-only file without a meeting bot or Workspace recording feature.

Google Meet native recording is separate. This page cannot unlock that feature or access recordings in Google Drive.

Share the Meet tab audio

Chrome tab audio is the most direct remote source for Google Meet. Choose Both so your microphone is mixed into the same local result.

If Share audio is not enabled, the recording may contain only your microphone. Test playback before relying on the setup.

Permission and privacy

Tell participants and follow the recording and consent rules that apply to your location, organization, and meeting. Local capture does not remove those obligations.
