Both and System audio require Chrome or Edge. A Webex web tab with audio is the most reliable source. Desktop app audio depends on operating-system support. Safari and Firefox can record only your microphone.

How to do it

Use the recorder above to capture, review, and save the meeting audio.

    Choose Both in the recorder

    Tell participants, confirm consent, then choose Both to capture your voice and Webex audio.

    Click Start recording

    Allow microphone access when the browser asks.

  3. 03

    Select the Webex source

    Choose the Webex tab or supported system source. Enable Share audio in the picker.

    Record the meeting

    Recording runs once access is granted. Keep the recorder, meeting, and browser share active.

    Stop and review

    Click Stop recording. Review the audio, then download it or continue to transcription.

Record Webex with this browser tool

Choose Both to mix your microphone with an audible Webex source. Use headphones so meeting sound does not feed back into your microphone.

This creates an audio-only recording. It does not join the meeting, change your Webex role, or retrieve files from a Webex account.

Choose the clearest Webex source

Share the Webex web tab when possible. For the desktop application, choose a supported system source. Availability varies by operating system.

Enable Share audio. Make a short test before an important meeting and confirm that playback contains both sides.

Tell participants and follow the recording and consent rules that apply to your location, organization, and meeting. Local capture does not remove those obligations.
